Since then it has acquired Friends Provident Group plc, the majority of the AXA UK life insurance businesses and Bupa Health Assurance. These businesses have been rebranded and together form the Friends Life Group.
In August the Company announced that it was moving away from a project-based structure and strategy and no longer seeking a specific exit event for the Friends Life Group. The Company’s business model and strategy for the Friends Life Group is focused on ensuring that it is a successful and sustainable life insurance group with a clear strong cash profile focused on maximisation of shareholder value.
